Meet the Maker
My woodworking story began when i was approximately eleven years old. My mother let my sister and I go visit our relatives in Alabama for the summer and I caught the bug. My aunt let my sister and I go with our cousins to a local bible vacation camp for a couple of weeks. There was a man there teaching children how to build something out of wood. I was able to make something with my hands for the first time in my life and I cannot describe the feeling of accomplishment that overwhelmed me then and I still today, 50 plus years later I still get that feeling when I finish a project.
Making people smile when you give them something that you poured your heart into still makes me feel overwhelmed. I will probably be woodworking until my last breath and that’s a great feeling to have.
How it’s Made
This clock was by glueing two Curly Maple boards together and filling the corners to a rounder profile and then sanding to 400 grit to achieve a smooth finish. I then dyed the hardwood with dark brown dye and sanded it off which allowed me to put a Danish oil finish over it a topped it off with a clear coat.

Our products are not stained they are dyed and a Danish oil applied or satin poly finish applied or both.
