This beautiful Curly Maple Lions head Clock is that perfect gift for the man in your life, he'll enjoy the masculine look of this clock. It has a quartz movement for that set and forget it feeling, it runs on a AA battery. This clock feels as good as it looks, with the curl in the wood popping from the rest of the finish to give it that tiger stripe look. A beautiful medium brown to honey amber finish with a touch of danish oil. This clock is 5 1/2"w. x 3" d. x 14" h.

Meet the Maker
My woodworking story began when i was approximately eleven years old. My mother let my sister and I go visit our relatives in Alabama for the summer and I caught the bug. My aunt let my sister and I go with our cousins to a local bible vacation camp for a couple of weeks. There was a man there teaching children how to build something out of wood. I was able to make something with my hands for the first time in my life and I cannot describe the feeling of accomplishment that overwhelmed me then and I still today, 50 plus years later I still get that feeling when I finish a project.
Making people smile when you give them something that you poured your heart into still makes me feel overwhelmed. I will probably be woodworking until my last breath and that’s a great feeling to have.
How it’s Made
This clock was constructed with 1/2" and 3/4" Curly Maple wood. Glued construction with titebond glue and dyed with a custom color. There is a medium brown, Honey maple and Sunburst yellow formula that creates this perfect color combination. I added the lions head that was crafted in Ukraine by a master woodworker and the lions feet (legs) help support the clock and feeling of a man's clock.
