This Curly Maple wall Clock is a beautifully crafted wall clock with a small shelf that will show off it's dramatic wood grain with clean lines and simple design. It has a quartz movement for reliable timekeeping. This clock is 30" wide by 10" in height and weighs only 6 lbs. The metal birds applied gives those that love birds that outdoor feeling.

Meet the Maker
My woodworking story began when i was approximately eleven years old. My mother let my sister and I go visit our relatives in Alabama for the summer and I caught the bug. My aunt let my sister and I go with our cousins to a local bible vacation camp for a couple of weeks. There was a man there teaching children how to build something out of wood. I was able to make something with my hands for the first time in my life and I cannot describe the feeling of accomplishment that overwhelmed me then and I still today, 50 plus years later I still get that feeling when I finish a project.
Making people smile when you give them something that you poured your heart into still makes me feel overwhelmed. I will probably be woodworking until my last breath and that’s a great feeling to have.
How it’s Made
This wall clock was constructed from curly maple wood with a shelf, it's had a warm dye applied multiple times. Then there was Danish oil applied with multiple coats and finished off with 4 coats of satin poly. There is a quartz movement installed for timekeeping and the metal birds on a branch was applied to give it a outdoors feel. The hangers on the back are designed to support 35 lbs. and are centered at 16" centers for easy hanging.
